Derek Peterson
Chief Executive Officer, Founder
Derek is an experienced entrepreneur and technology executive with over 20 years of leadership in product design. He has founded three successful companies, including Digital Fly, Soter Technologies, and HDD. Derek has also developed software used on millions of devices worldwide. Previously, he served as Vice President at IPS, focusing on IoT product design, and held leadership roles at Symbol Technologies and Neohapsis. Derek holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Applied Math from Stony Brook University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. An Ironman triathlete, he brings extensive expertise to the Soter Technologies team.
